Welcome to Rio Rancho Pop Warner Football and Cheer (RRPW)! As we prepare for our 3rd year, we would like to welcome everyone to the 2023 season! We are growing at an expediential rate and are proud to have 8 football teams and 2 cheer squads for the fall 2023 season.
We are part of the New Mexico Pop Warner League, which has four active associations: Los Lunas Tigers, Belen Eagles, Duke City Outlaws and Rio Rancho Pop Warner.
Last year Rio Rancho made new strides in our program with 2 league champions and 2 teams that participated in postseason regional tournaments. We had a Rio Rancho Pop Warner board member join the Southwest regional board. In addition we had 3 young men earn a spot on the Pop Warner all-american national Scholar program. We are very proud of these accomplishments and are devoted to making 2023 our best season yet.
We have revamped our www.rioranchopopwarner.com website, to make sure it is up to date and will have all important information in the "news" section, so make sure to visit our website if there is information you need.
Practice is scheduled to start August 1, 2023. Coaches should already be in contact with players, if they have not contacted you please see coaches contact information below.
Games will start Labor day weekend. The association commissioners met yesterday to start working on the 2023 schedule and will have the schedule out no later than 08/25/2023. Once the schedule is finalized, it will be emailed to all coaches and players. You can also view the NMPW website by visiting Here
Reminder! In order to start practice on August 1, you need to ensure you have the completed paperwork and equipment:

- Copy of athlete's Birth Certificate
- 2023 Pop Warner Medical physical form (attached)
- 2023 Player/Participant Contract (attached)
- 2022/2023 Report Card Necessary Equipment
Lastly, Rio Rancho Pop Warner is very fortunate to have the many board and non-board volunteers that keep our program moving forward, we would not be the organization we are without the dedicated work of our volunteers.

We are actively looking for a 6U coach! Coach Jasso has been accepted into the police academy and has had to step down from coaching, if you know of anyone that is interested in the head coach position, please have them reach out at 505-585-5466.
We do ask that you remember every person part of RRPW is a volunteer, no one is paid but they choose to be part of our organization. We will not tolerate any disrespect towards our volunteers, they are trying their best to make the season successful. If you would like to make a difference; the best thing you can do is volunteer! It takes a village to run a non profit organization and the best way to be part of the change and not the problem is by volunteering your time.
